The mission of the Friends of St Peter’s

St Peter’s Church Sibton is a beautiful and historic building in a lovely rural setting. It is the only spacious setting for community activities in Sibton. With its wonderful acoustics and flexible space it is the ideal setting for community meetings, arts events and concerts. We wish to develop greater use of the building to increase community engagement in Sibton, improve local quality of life and bring in the wider community in Suffolk and tourists on the heritage route. There is a need for extensive repairs to make the building and church yard sustainable for the future. Additionally, by improving access and providing disabled parking we will bring more people to the church. Its rich historical legacy, close to the ruins of Sibton Abbey, make it a valuable educational resource for all ages. Overall, we wish to increase the access of this beautiful church to the local community and wider population and sustain its use into the future. difference.
